As a part of my arts methods course, I created a visual journal via Mixbook to document my art work as well as to compile ideas for art projects. Many ideas for the art projects have come from the art work displayed at Hillcrest Elementary!

Very impressive collection of work Betty! This will be a great resource for you to use in April and in the future when you start teaching your own class! I wonder what other mediums we can use in our class? Is there anything you have never worked with that you would like to have the students try out?

@ Mr. Hong

Thank you- I plan to continue to add to it as well =)

I have been thinking about tools such as VoiceThread, which allow students to record, share, and give feedback to one another via voice or text. Perhaps it will be useful for more oral-based projects, such as in French?

My favorite part about art is the potential to be creative and to express my ideas through different mediums =)

What's yours?

@SpongeBob

Art is very broad and could include everything from sewing to drawing to baking to origami to piano playing. I enjoy all of these, so yes I think you can say that art is a favorite category of hobbies for me =)
